There's this song by John Mayer, 'Waiting on the World to Change'. At first, I loved the song. I loved the beat, and the lyrics. But the more I listened to the lyrics of the song, the more discontented I was. Here's why:
"Me and all my friends
We're all misunderstood
They say we stand for nothing
There's no way we ever could
Now we see everything is going wrong
With the world and those who lead it
We just feel like we don't have the means
To rise above and beat it
So we keep waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
Its hard to be persistant
When we're standing at a distance
So we keep waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change "
We should not wait. Instead, we should be the ONEs who will change the world!
Change the world? First, change Singapore.
Change Singapore? First, change the youths.
Change the youths? First, change the schools.
Change the schools? First, they need God.
